VVSC Mission Statement

The VacaValley Stockdog Club (VVSC) was developed to encourage and promote the sport of herding among all herding enthusiasts. VVSC is dedicated to the care and well-being of all livestock both in competitions and in day-to-day training. VVSC strives to be open-minded about the different working abilitis and styles of the many recognized herding breeds. VVSC's mission is to help preserve the historical, traditional, and practical connection of stock dogs with farming, ranching, the livestock industry, and herding as a sport. As a club, we encourage, promote, and advertise the breeding, training, and working of stock dogs. VVSC welcomes all breeds of stock dogs and is dedicated to inform those persons interested in herding as a sport of the various training and trialing activities available.

VVSC Purpose Statement

VVSC aims to provide a friendly environment for the herding enthusiast and to inform herders of working and herding activities. VVSC acknowledges the accomplishments of our members and their dogs and encourages all members to participate at whatever level they are able to while still keeping the FUN in herding. VVSC sponsors many events throughout the years such as instinct tests, trials, fun days, clinics, and seminars.
